Austria Hungary Hello I'm Marshall. I'm a Lutinant in the Austria Hungarian Army.I live in the Austria-Hungary Empire. My country is allies with Germany and Italy. This alliance is called the Central Powers, and the Triple Alliance. On June 28, 1914 Archduke Francis Ferdinand came to visit. A serbian terroist group called the black hand assassinated the archduke. One month later Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Serbia then seeked help from Russia since we were in alliance with Germany. Germany later declared war on Russia. two days later germany declared war on France. Assassination Of ArchdukeWhen the Archduke and his wife were assassinated i knew our world would soon be at war. Our whole country was worried I was worried about my Family, myDog, and my brothers life and my ownsince i knew we would all soon be at war. Without me my families life would be difficult. Im the only one who knew how to drive the automobile. "With one person dead millions will be killed." Tactics
By the start of the war our navy had 16battleships, 5 cruisers, 18 destroyers, and 5submarines. Towards the end of the war Austria Hungarian army used peaceful penetration on the western front. They did successful raids across "No man's land". We built trenches and had machine guns ready to wipe out an entire fleet of the allies.

Even though I hold the weight of the whole world on my shoulders" "I'd never drag them in battles that I can't handle unless I absolutely have to I'm supposed to set an example, I need to be the leader, my crew looks for me to guide 'em, If a battle ever blows up i'm suppose to be beside em"--some days this is how i think when i wake up in the trenches. and i just want the war to end. I never thought my country would lose close to 1 million people not including the 500,000 thats died as POW's. Christmas of 1914- On Christmas of 1914 it was the worst. by this time we thought we would all be home with our families. But instead we were in our trenches with our heads held low avoiding the enemy snipers. I myself kept letters to read on this particular day. Every one I read a tear was brought to my eye. Early in the morning of Dec. 25th it was the first freeze we had, and the mud that was caked on us was now frozen. We particularly wanted to celebrate this day so we had Christmas trees of our own that we even decorated. We then started singing silent night. Once done the allies even started singing, and we called for a cease fire. We walked across No Mans Land unarmed and met the people we were trying to kill. Hours later both sides walked back to their trenches and the war raged on for four more years.
"Russia is out Americans are in." I could not believe russia fell out of war. Then Germany went and blew up a Biritsh ship carrying American Passengers. With this mistake something bad will happen i can feel.
Now i can not believe americans are sending 2 million to defend the allies. With America sending fresh troops with lots of ammo i knew we had no chance in winning. But i know i will defend my country as best i can even with the extra 2 million Allies. But the good news was i felt the war would soon come to an end.=)

At the end of the war Germany had to pay all damages during the war. Also they had to give back Alsace-Loraine "land" that Germany took in 1871. That land now belongs to France.
When I got home i was so so happy. Tears were falling, i didn't realize how much i missed my family until i got home and saw them. I missed everyone, my wife, kids, even my dog and car. But still until this day I have flasbacks of those days in the trenches. People dieing in front of me. And every Christmas Eve I dream about celebrating Christmas with the enemy. Life back home was like it use to be, but war brings me tears everytime i think of it.
Treaty of Versailles- Was signed June 28th, 1919. This treaty caused Germany to give back land they had taken. German army was reduced to 100,000 soldiers. Not allowed to have an airforce. And only allowed 6 naval bases. This solved peace in alot of countries but no one knew that soon there would be a second world war just as great as this one.
